The package codes are the way that spices will be identified in the table on the next page. That table features a spice list of all of the different kinds of spices packaged by Forbes Coffee. Next to each product on the list will be a series of codes representing all of the samples of that product for which I now have scanned images available. More will be added as I get more images or have the time to scan samples which I own. This is the key to the codes:
First Letter: Brand-- F=Forbes. Q=Forbes Quality. N=Forbes Finest. M=Martha Washington O=Other (see note).
Second Letter: Manufacturer-- F=Forbes Coffee. W=Woolson Spice (which bought the company). K=Frank Spice Co. (which bought the brand from Woolson).
Third Letter: Package-- B=Box C=Container (the standard container for spices, usually cardboard with tin top and bottom). G= Glass Container. T=Tin container.
A number following the Codes indicates a second, third, etc. item in the same category.
The only purpose of the codes is to allow the view of the chart on the following pages to know what image is coming
when the code/link is clicked.
